| Get ready to celebrate the 4th of July in style with these placemats! |
| Instructions |
| 1. Cut four 20" x 12 ½" pieces of solid red fabric for backing. Cut four 20" x 7 ½" pieces of solid white fabric for center panels. Cut eight 20" x 3" pieces of striped fabric for borders. Cut two 12" x 12" pieces of solid red fabric. Cut two 12" x 12" pieces of Heat n’ Bond Ultra. Cut four 12 ½" x 20" pieces of fusible interfacing. |
| 2. Fuse 12" x 12" pieces of Heat n’ Bond Ultra to the 12" x 12" pieces of red fabric, following manufacturer instructions. Peel off paper backing. Place on two Cricut cutting mats. |
| 3. Cut Fourth of July images. Using A Child's Year cartridge and red fabric, cut one 4" <4thJuly1>. Using red fabric, press Shift and cut one 4 ½" <4July1-s>. Using red fabric, cut one 4" <4thJuly2>. Using red fabric, press Shift and cut one 4" <4July2-s>. Fuse designs to lower right corners of white center panel pieces, following manufacturer instructions. |
| 4. Sew the striped fabric strips to the top and bottom edges of center panels. Press. |
| 5. Fuse interfacing pieces to backing pieces. Stitch backing pieces to placemat fronts, leaving opening to turn. Turn, press, and stitch opening closed. Top-stitch around edges of placemats. |
| 6. Cut four 16" x 16" pieces of solid white fabric. Machine stitch double-fold bias tape around edges of each napkin. |
| 7. Cut stars. Using leftover prepared red fabric, select Icon feature, press Shift, and cut four 3" <4July1-s>. Select Flip function and repeat cuts. Fuse stars together, following manufacturer instructions. Affix a grommet in the top of each star. Fold napkins. Wrap ribbon around napkins, threading ribbon through star. Tie into bow. |

- 4 silver grommets
- Sewing machine and coordinating thread
