During the summer of 2002, I walked into Wal-mart and picked out a wire bound album, some purple sparkly stencils, a package of multicolored gel rollers and five sets of stickers. I had never heard of a scrapbook store, had no idea there were magazines dedicated to the newest trends in paper, and had virtually no clue what I was doing. I just wanted to create a decorated book of favorite photos. I dabbled in the beginning, hand cutting photos with a pair of oversized Fiskars scissors pilfered from my quilting supplies, but my stubborn preference for perfectly trimmed photos required an update in tools and a trip to the newly discovered local scrapbook store. Hours of shopping left me feeling slightly overwhelmed and totally inspired. I walked out of the store that day, armed with a paper trimmer and a new passion: scrapbooking.
Years (and hundreds of pages) later, the tools have changed and my style has evolved, but I'm still happily gluing photos to paper and telling the story of our lives. When I'm not scrapbooking, you can usually find me with my camera hanging around my neck, watching a movie with my hubby, playing with our daughter, baking bread, reading a good book, or shopping for cute shoes!
I am truly honored to be joining the Provo Craft Design Team, and I hope that my work will inspire you!
