 Hi, I'm Joy. I'm a stay at home wife to my wonderful husband of 9 years, Jon, and mom of three monsters, eh, I mean angels. Jaylie is 7 and the little mom of the family, Jaden, my only son, is 5 and is trying to find his place in this world of girls, and Journey is the baby. At 2 she is developing a strong little personality that is very different from the other two. I scrapbook for them. I want them to know the importance of faith. I want them to know how much I love them. I want them to be able to look back and remember their childhoods together.
I started scrapbooking at a small scrapbook store 4.5 years ago. Before I walked into that store none of the scrapbooks I saw had been anything but funky cut up photos and stickers. I was (and still am) a photo snob, and I didn't want to ruin my precious photos. Cutting them up would mean cutting up memories. Well I went to a crop very wary of the craft of scrapbooking. Once I made it into the store and was surrounded by all the beautiful papers and tags and dimensional embellishments I was intrigued. I picked up my first CK and Rebecca Sowers Life's Little Instruction Book, and looked through one of my soon to be friends albums, and I was hooked line and sinker!! It was like falling in love.
In 4.5 years I've come a LONG way. I have my books in order by the dates I created them. I love looking back and seeing my growth. I've been blessed to be asked onto multiple design teams for stores, brick and mortar and online, and I have the amazing opportunity this year of working with Provo Craft. I'm excited to see how I grow this year too!
